Adult Care Facilities (ACFs) are a nursing home alternative for elderly and disabled adults that need more assistance than can be provided safely in the home. ACFs offer a home-like setting with additional supports such as medication and appointment management, meals, housekeeping, laundry, and accounting assistance. Residents are permitted to sign in and out of the facility as they please and access the community, while also being offered a robust variety of activities and socialization opportunities at the facility. ACFs do not provide skilled nursing care, and residents must be capable of maintaining some independence in order to reside in an ACF. Medicare and Medicaid are not able to cover room and board costs as a result, however there are many financial assistance programs available to residents with low incomes that our facility assists all residents in applying for where eligible.
Assisted Living Programs (ALPs) are Medicaid funded programs within an ACF that offers services beyond regular adult care. Cirrus Manor’s ALP is operated in tandem with our Licensed Home Care Service Agency (LCHSA) license, which means we vet and employ our own state certified Home Health Aides to provide care in our residential facility, rather than in their own home. This is done to ensure expanded services and a stable environment many elderly and disabled persons are not able to maintain in a private residence. This also ensures care is provided at all hours of the day, every day of the year, to bring you extra peace of mind that your loved one is always getting the care they need. To qualify for the ALP program, a resident must be Medicaid eligible and have personal care needs that exceed the standard care provided by the facility upon admission.
